2020-05-20 20:42:46 Actually, he wasn't terribly good on Broadway. It's a different skill set. His voice was too thin to handle a Broadway score. He doesn't have the heft to throw it to the back rows.
What was great was a whole theatre filled with middle-aged itinerant Buckeye gays in their finest summer-weight blazers and espadrilles. It was like sitting in the International Male catalogue circa 1992. And they all rose as one to applaud Ricky when he arrived on stage during "Oh What a Circus". It was hilarious. |
