First of all, I don't know who this is and haven't seen the picture. But generally speaking: I have to disagree. It's not necessarily because users "lack any nuance in their ratings" since some people - like me - have decided a long time ago to only give out "nice" and "beautiful" ratings (at least for LIVING celebs) in order to not hurt the person's feelings, and furthermore to not make them avoid showing their own feet. Hell, it's not 2010 anymore. In other words: wikiFeet isn't our little secret anymore. In this day and age it's a very well known website that gets talked about in the most popular late-night shows and talk shows. Probably every day new people learn about it, and I'm sure a lot of celebs come here to check their own pages more or less regularly. WE SHOULD CONSIDER THIS WHEN RATING, AND NOT BE SO FUCKIN' SELFISH. The main goal of this website very obviously is to get as much (different) high quality pics of every displayed celeb. In this spirit, we should simply refrain from doing anything that stands against this goal. Therefore it's extremely counterproductive to give out bad ratings. It only has the potential to make them unhappy and insecure, and not showing off anymore - to the disadvantage of THEIR fans! This is a thousand times more important than just "nuancing" the ratings, because, again, THAT'S THE MAIN GOAL OF THIS WEBSITE. I personally could perfectly live with everybody here having a rather good rating, no problem. Also, keep in mind we still have the automatic "gorgeous" rating for further differentiation. Nobody is obliged to rate AT ALL, so why not simply move on to the next page if you see someone/something you don't like, instead of anonymously downrating and downcommenting foreign people that (usually) haven't done anything bad to you, and therefore fuckin' it up for everybody else, especially their fans who may like their feet and wish to see them for the future...? This being said, in my honest opinion it's extremely stupid to give just an "okay" rating because we are "without further information and a close-up". It's not helpful, it surely won't help the celeb to confidently show their feet more if they stumble upon their own page just to find out there's two full stars lacking for their feet to be seen as beautiful. Think about how YOU would feel! So... Why not take a more positive approach? One can start higher and still lower down if you really feel that's necessary as soon as more evidence is given. Ever heard of the "benefit of the doubt", Doc...?
